Get to Know Dr. Beau Haydon
Dr. Haydon has been passionate about dentistry ever since he took AP Biology his senior year of high school. Today, it’s his goal to provide top-of-the-line care to create and maintain healthy, beautiful teeth, ensuring you achieve the smile you’ve always desired.
Why Did You Want to Become a Dentist?
While his interest in the field started in high school, looking back, it’s no surprise that Dr. Haydon found a home in dentistry. His mom is a retired elementary school art teacher who taught for over 30 years and is the most creative and caring person he has ever met. And his dad is a retired engineer who loves to write in his free time. Growing up around art, science, and service made Dr. Haydon a natural fit for a field that combines all of these elements every day.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After graduating from the University of Missouri and finishing dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Dr. Haydon decided to further his education by completing a General Practice Residency at Truman Lakewood Hospital. During this program, he received extensive training in dental implants, oral surgery, and cosmetic dentistry. He also stays up to date on the latest findings and techniques through his memberships in the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
What do you like to do outside
of the dental office?
Dr. Haydon likes to spend as much time as he can outdoors in the gorgeous Colorado scenery, so you’ll often find him hiking, camping, skiing, fishing, or kayaking. And although he hasn’t done it for a while, he also loves woodworking.
