The Wisdom Tooth Extraction Process

The type of wisdom tooth extraction you require will depend on whether or not your third molars have fully erupted or are still impacted (stuck) below the gumline. If they have erupted, Dr. Haydon will gently elevate the teeth out of their sockets and remove them from your mouth. If they are impacted, we will need to access them by making a small incision. From here, we can split them up into smaller pieces to remove the entire tooth one piece at a time without making it an invasive procedure.
